Drayton Diesel head gasket

GREETINGS from Confignon, which is a village of 4000 people 7km from the centre of Geneva, Switzerland. I received a call from a village mate who is a great fan of things mechanical. Much of his retirement is taken up with restoring machinery, including a variety of ageing/ageless agricultural implements.

One item that he's striving to put back into working order requires a new head gasket. He asked me if I would lend a hand via the Internet in trying to find a replacement (in addition to not being a cybernaut, he has no knowledge of English). I am wondering if there is any chance that [you] might know where my friend could turn for help in locating the required head gasket for the tractor in question:

Drayton Diesel Ltd
34R HP75
Serial 7.e.
RPM 2100
West Drayton, Middx, England

On his behalf, I am most grateful for any help you might be able to provide. Thanks in advance.

Hi, The Drayton Diesel 34R was commonly used on the Ramsomes crawlers MG6 and MG40. The cylinder uses a Laminated Aluminium shim for a head gasket. I have done the same job on my 34R. I bought a laminate plate and cut out the required shape. It was a long time ago but I think I bought the laminate shim from these guys.
Stephens Gaskets Ltd.
The Drayton Diesel engine manual describes the shimming sequence to set the correct compression ratio.
