ONCE again another memory jog with Alec’s cuttings No. 57 with reference to the International green crop loader. I have enclosed a photo of myself driving the standard Fordson tractor pulling the trailer, and the International green crop loader.

FURTHER to your article about Salopian manure spreaders in the February edition. If it would be of any interest to you, my husband and I bought one a few years ago. We think that old machinery as well as tractors should be preserved for their history. My husband and grandson stripped it down and rebuilt it. Only the floorboards needed replacing but the new tyres cost more than the spreader.

RE Turner Yeoman, your article in November 2012 edition page 57; I’m informed that Mr Priestner’s Yeoman tractor’s first owner was Messrs Wynns Foundry, Bridgetown, Cannock, Staffordshire. Wynns foundry had two sites and the tractor was used to transport castings between them along the A5 (Watling St) road.
