Having used a Kubota M8540 tractor for several years, Simon Parker of Instone Court in Herefordshire was keen to try out its narrow counterpart, the M8540N, for orchard and hops row work.
The M8540N is fully manufactured in house by Kubota, and combines the power and functionality of the M8540 but incorporates a narrow, compact body – making it ideal for vineyard, row and orchard work. With the family-run farm playing host to 55 acres of cider fruit, 10 acres of other apples and 40 acres of hops, Mr Parker wanted to invest in a slimmer tractor that he could easily manoeuvre within tighter spaces.
