Four genuine tractors from a local farm are expected to attract keen interest when they go under the hammer at auctioneers Halls’ monthly collective auction at The Gallops, Stanklyn lane, Stone, near Kidderminster on May 25. The tractors include a 2003 Case MX170 4wd, a 2002 Case MX170 4wd with Tremble Easy Ride and GPS, a Y registration Case MX170 4wd and a T registration Case CX90 4wd.

New Holland donate tractor to Rhino Orphanage

16 May 2012.

In March New Holland Agriculture announced the official inauguration of Ntlo ya Lerato Rhino Orphanage the donation of a TT55 tractor to support the wildlife reserve located in South Africa’s Limpopo Province. The tractor will be used for general maintenance of the extensive territory of the sanctuary, whose name means “place of love” in Pedi. The reserve takes in rhinos orphaned as a result of poaching, and rears them to adulthood, preparing them to be released back into the wild.

Duel in the dirt

Preparations are gearing up for the first round of the British Tractor Pullers Association set to take 
place at the 3rd annual ‘duel in the dirt’ Shakey Super Pull on 9-10 June.

The pulling events are supported by exhibits of tractors, classic tractors, trucks, cars and motorcycles.

Jan gears up for new challenge

A prominent figure in the European lubricants industry has been recruited by Britain’s leading family-owned, independent oil blenders and marketers, Morris Lubricants.

Jan Trocki takes up his post as general manager of marketing and technology at the company’s Shrewsbury headquarters and brings a wealth of experience of the global oil industry to Morris Lubricants, having held senior managerial positions with BP and Castrol for 28 years. For the past three years, he has been technical manager at SK Lubricants Europe BV, a subsidiary of Korea’s largest energy company, which is a global market leader in Group III - base stock manufacture and marketing.

Jan said: “I am looking forward to an exciting new challenge to further build on the solid foundations of an already successful company. There is an opportunity for Morris Lubricants to build its reputation for lubricants specialism based on traditional values and relationship management.”


Aldham Old Time Rally on the move

3 May 2012.

The 35th Rally takes place on 9-10 June and this year will be on a new site still in White Colne. It is less than a mile from the former site on the A1124 and is a short distance up Bures Road, White Colne (CO6 2QB). Due to essential replacement cabling work by National Grid during May to July the former location is not available in 2012. The Rally format is unchanged with steam traction engines and miniatures, vintage tractors, stationary engines, commercial and military vehicles, motorcycles, vintage and classic cars and horticultural machinery.
