Head for Hutton-in-the-Forest

Many classic car fans will flock to Hutton-in-the-Forest, near Penrith on Sunday August 28 for the 9th Lakeland Classic Vehicle Show.  This ever popular show is just one of 18 events organised by Mark Woodward Classic Events all over the UK throughout the year.  
The Lakeland Classic Car and Bike Show is a long established event, where visitors will be able to catch a glimpse of over 300 classic cars, motorcycles and commercials, plus autojumble and trade stands, all on display in the grounds and gardens of the historic hall at Hutton-in-the-Forest.

Sheep show and speedy lawn mowers

The Cumbria Steam Gathering is a huge weekend event that has lots of great entertainment, with magnificent steam engines and vintage commercial vehicles, as well as hundreds of examples of much-loved classic transport, including cars, motorcycles, bicycles, agricultural and industrial tractors, farm equipment and stationary engines.

Harby Country Show & Working Weekend

The Vale of Belvoir Machinery Group based at Harby has around 85 members from a wide range of backgrounds and occupations and they all share a common interest, the countryside, farming and old farm machinery.

The working weekend will feature vintage tractor working displays, steam threshing and sawing as well as the traditional horse ploughing demonstrations.

It is expected there will be some 40 static tractors on display as well as an estimated 30 tractors working. Coupled to this there will be various other classic vehicles on show as well as numerous rural crafts and other attractions for all the family.

Back to the past

A farm near Tockwith that has turned its back on modern farming methods will open its doors to the public on July 30. Thorpe Hill Farm, an open working heritage farm, will offer visitors an opportunity to experience farming as it used to be before the invention of the tractor.

Gone Farmin' Two

MECUM'S second annual Gone Farmin' Tractor auction will be hosted August 5-6 in Walworth, Wisconsin, US. Up for bid will be 300 tractors, including Lot S55 a 1958 John Deere 720 High Crop which was one of nine produced with electric start.

Bewdley bash

18 July 2011.

This year’s Trimpley Steam & Vintage Rally takes place on Sunday August 7 and promises a unique display of machinery and vehicles set in a beautiful part of Worcestershire.

Festival returns to Rosemount

11 July 2011.

Following the successful first gathering at their new site in Rosemount Estate Greyabbey last year, the County Down Traction Engine Club, in Northern Ireland, have been working hard to improve this year’s event on August 13.

South West's largest festival of vintage transport

4 July 2011.

The Gloucestershire Steam & Vintage Extravaganza, now in its 37th year, has moved to a larger venue at South Cerney Airfield, Cirencester, for 2011. From Friday 5-Sunday, August 7, the extravaganza will attract more than 15,000 visitors and raise money for local and national charities.
