Full ahead for Farming Yesteryear
By: Tony Hoyland
Following the cancellation of last year’s Farming Yesteryear rally, the organisers (the Scottish Vintage Tractor and Engine Club) are hoping to make this year’s even bigger and better.
The rally will be hosting the SVVF Champion of Champions and a special 25-year event; this consists of a display of exhibits which attended 25 years ago at Scone Palace.
It will also be the year of the David Brown tractor and the Crossley stationary engine. The rally will have a working field, with harvesting and horticultural demonstrations taking place.
Exhibits vary from tractors, stationary engines, cars, motorbikes to lorries and military vehicles, while displays will range from framing bygones, models and farming implements. The event takes place over the weekend 11-12 Sept, with Sunday only open to the public
