RE August's edition of Tractor, the article about Bob's Masseys; the yellow MF 20, reg MEC 938P, as supplied by PV Dobson; Cumbria County Council ran some of these, perhaps this is one of them.
Used on the highways, they ran on white diesel (this is in the 70s) and road taxed as, I think, 'Highway Machines' or 'Industrial Machines'; and one or two chaps who didn't have a driving licence passed the tractor driving test on these tractors, then could drive a car.
