Show us your pride
By: Web Editor
SAM Butler is so proud of the Internationals he works with he thought we should show them in the magazine, and with pictures like these taken on a perfect day who are we to argue.
Sam says: “The IH1056XL, B reg, is mine; I use it for rallies and road runs and also on the farm where I work, where I do all the drilling and spraying with it. It’s got 9000 hours on the clock now. I’ve had it for the last six years and put about 1000 hours on it. I’ve put new tyres, clutch and hydraulic pump on it since I’ve had it.
“The 1455XL, C reg, belongs to my boss, Merv Singer; he's had it a year now. It belonged to a farmer friend of mine, Tim Butler (no relation). He rang me to say he was selling a few of his tractors and wondered if I knew of anyone who might be interested in it, I told Merv straight away that it was for sale and he ought to buy it as it wouldn’t lose him money, so he did. Tim Butler had owned the 1455XL from new and it only had 6300 hours on the clock, we use it for ploughing, corn hauling and moving our 13 ton JCB about.
